OUR FOUNDER
Katerina, the founder of Naiad, grew up in a world rich with music, art, and imagination. Her early childhood in Hong Kong was filled with violin lessons, a full calendar of extracurriculars, and quiet moments spent colouring beside her grandmother. She was captivated by the intricate calligraphy and maps drawn by her younger brother - sparking an early fascination with beauty, detail, and expression.
At 14, she moved to London and continued to pursue her studies with a focus on fine art, a path she followed through to her master’s degree. But when the pandemic reshaped many lives, it also marked a turning point for Katerina. She discovered gemmology through GIA and was immediately drawn to the way jewelry wove together all her passions - visual storytelling, craftsmanship, and emotional resonance.
Today, as a designer, gemologist, and curator, she brings these worlds together through Naiad - a brand and platform that reflects her fluid, multi-disciplinary approach. Every piece and every project is rooted in her belief that jewelry is not just adornment, but a form of connection, creation, and identity.
